The Gregory Lake is located in the Nuwara Eliya town. The British governor Gregory built it during the year 1874.
It has a nice view in the morning and the evening. It’s really a breathtaking view. Boating, rowing, horse / Pony riding, balloon rides, Swan boating are available in the lake premises. For the kinds there are lot of funny activities around the lake

You can reach Nuwara Eliya by Train (Most of visitors use) , Bus as well as by sea planes it will take just 30 minutes to reach there from Colombo by a sea plane and also you can find good hotels / guest houses / rooms around the lake starting rates from 1500 LKR (per night). I hope December is the season time for Nuwara Eliya. In that period lot of local and foreigners are coming to the Nuwara Eliya to enjoy there vacations
